Credit Unions - built upon philosophy of "People Helping People".

Unlike banks, credit union profits are returned to the membership through better rates and lower fees. Owned by their members not shareholders. Erie FCU is local, so your money stays local.

At Erie FCU, our goal is to extend this philosophy in everything we do from interacting with our membership to our involvement with the community we serve. Our employees are encouraged to be ambassadors of the community and to volunteer their time with being involved with local organizations, local businesses, and community charitable events.

Erie FCU is proud to be invested in Erie and the communities surrounding.

Lisa L. – VP of Consumer Lending Services

Why do you love working at Erie FCU?

My answer is one that may be unexpected, the opportunities and benefits. The opportunities and benefits provided by Erie FCU are exceptional. Whether it is our health benefits, 401K, VTO, wellness committees or the expanded education on a variety of subjects. The opportunities for growth in my career as well as on a personal level have been incredible. Erie FCU has given me the ability to serve our members and community in a meaningful way and the opportunity to work with a team that truly cares. That is why I chose to pursue a career at Erie FCU, a company that through these offerings shows its commitment to its employees every day, and the experience has been rewarding in so many ways.

What has been your career path with Erie FCU?

In May of 2000 I began my career with Erie FCU as an Assistant Head Teller and at the beginning of 2003 I was promoted to Head Teller. Later in 2003 I moved into a Call Center/MSR role. In 2004 I was promoted to an MSO position in which I worked the State Street office during a merger and finally our Zuck Road office when it opened. After years in the branch, my path changed as I made the decision to move into our back office in 2009 becoming the Lending QC Supervisor. My role and the departments I oversaw expanded in 2017 as we moved to Glenwood and I accepted the position of Records Control Manager. As of February 2023, another transition occurred and I accepted the role of VP of Consumer Lending Services. In this new role I oversee our Records Control, Credit Card, and Consumer Underwriting Departments.

Why do you love working at Erie FCU?

My love in being a part of Erie FCU is as simple as it is astounding. Here, you are not seen as another expendable employee, but something almost too good to be true when regarding the topic of labor. I’ve held countless positions across a multitude of different areas of employment, and every single one indoctrinated that same norm of viewing employees as unrealized in value as they were expendable. It wasn’t until I began working at Erie FCU where the belief of that norm shattered, revealing a sense of clarity that proved I was more than just another dispensable body. To experience a manager that genuinely asks me how I’m doing every day, as she concerns over my physical and mental state. While she may not even see it as overzealous as my willingness to cherish such small feats, she understands this was the first job that generously offered me basic human treatment. However, I don’t think many can understand what I feel knowing what it’s like to be casually greeted by your CEO, as he consistently, and without delay, takes the time to learn each new employee’s face and name before we even had a chance to learn about his existence. Unbelievably, I found a career that gives me nothing but the feeling of pure contentedness, and I find it even more outrageous knowing I also found a second loving family. We reside in an environment that passionately drives us to help our members to the best of our abilities. To be a part of an organization that happily places its members, as well as its employees, on a pedestal, is a place I find true satisfaction in, and a place I can wholeheartedly say I love.

What has been your career path with Erie FCU?

I started with the credit union in January of 2022 as a Teller with our State Street branch. Within a short, few months, I was promoted to a Financial Service Representative continuing beside our State Street team. In June of 2022, I accepted the title of Member Service Officer at our East 38th Street location. While working to grow my knowledge and dedication to the position and our members, I was promoted to Member Services Officer II in December of 2023.
