Erie Federal Credit Union is very excited that we have partnered with CU Strategic Planning to provide the HERO or Community Development Certified Financial Counseling Certification Program to all our staff!
What is a HERO?
HERO Counseling is an interactive, web-based staff training, testing and certification tool. The objective of the program is to train ALL Erie FCU staff on the very best techniques for identifying financial distress, intervening and coaching low and moderate income individuals and families. With your new HERO CDCFC designation, not only will you have more knowledge to assist our members, you will also obtain valuable resources to assist you in your own financial journey, including both friends and family.
I love working for Erie Federal Credit Union because there’s a priority of making employees feel confident and comfortable in the workplace. They have consistent training and mentors to help you along your journey. Working here has enhanced my knowledge and helped me build relationships with not just my coworkers, but the members as well. The community outreach and volunteer opportunities are personally a favorite of mine. Working here has been a great experience and I have made connections that I am sure will last a very long time.
I started my career in 2017 as a Head Teller at our East 38th St. Office. From there I went on to become a Member Service Officer at the State St location in 2020. Working downtown helped me build a rapport with the upcoming businesses in the area. Most importantly, I was close to the Flagship Food Hall. In September 2024, I transferred to the Zuck Rd branch as a Member Service Officer II.
I love working at Erie FCU because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives by helping them achieve their dreams of homeownership. Our team environment encourages professional growth as well as open communication to give our members the 5-star service they deserve. Erie FCU also promotes a sense of community and gives back at every opportunity. These are just some of the factors that make Erie FCU a wonderful place to work!
I started at Erie FCU in March of 2022 as a Teller at the Glenwood branch. In May of 2022, I quickly moved into the back office with a role as Indirect Lending Support helping our members get into new vehicles. I was in that position until October 2023 when I became a Mortgage Consultant guiding our members through the mortgage purchase process. In August of 2024, I settled into my current role as Mortgage Underwriter II providing loan decisioning for our in-house products as well as purchase mortgages.

At Erie FCU, we are extremely proud of our storied tradition of supporting our community and the charitable organizations and events that make up the fabric of Erie, Pennsylvania. With the opening of our Glenwood Branch, we decided to give these philanthropic endeavors a name and "officially" launched #Team AOK (Acts of Kindness)
Since then #Team AOK has been able to “make a splash” in helping to spread neighborhood “goodwill” throughout Erie and the surrounding communities. All employees are encouraged and invited to participate in this ongoing, worthwhile cause!
