Our #TeamAOK was busy today dropping off warm, winter clothing collected during our 3rd annual SOCK-Tober! The team made stops at the The Upper Room of Erie and SSJ Neighborhood Network. Drop offs at St. Patrick's Haven and Erie United Methodist Alliance are planned.
This year, the collections were extended to include winter hats, scarves and gloves due to the pandemic, as Erie shelters may be limited in space this winter and are anticipating that many homeless individuals may not be able to seek indoor refuge thus increasing the need to provide more outside winter clothing.
Close to 10 storage bins of winter clothing items were collected during the month-long event. Thank you to our members for their kind and generous donations!
